Roads constructed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration of Delta state, have beginning to collapse barely six months of their construction.

The state commissioner for Works, Mr. James Augoye had lied to Deltans and the general public last week when he featured as a guest on Hot 96. 5 FM, Asaba, radio program “People’s Parliament”, monitored by HardReporters correspondent, that contractors been engaged by governor Ifeanyi Okowa to construct roads across the state were all “first class contractors” whose jobs can stand the test of time.

The commissioner who bragged that “All our contractors are first class contractors doing standard roads that will stand test of time.”, could only mentioned SETRACO construction company as one of the first class construction firm working in the state.

Meanwhile, a visit by HardReporters freelance correspondent to some of these multimillion naira roads said to have been constructed by these so called “first class contractors” within Asaba the state capital, it was observed that the roads were already falling barely six month of their construction.

Investigations revealed that some of the firms handling these roads construction are not experts in construction of roads, but governor Okowa decided to patronise these constructors who are his kinsmen, relations, brothers and cronies by way of empowerment ahead of his 2019 second tenure election.
