SUSPENSION: Aniocha North PDP Lingering Crisis Consumes Elumelu, Oseme, Osuoza, Others

The yet to be resolved lingering political crisis of supremacy tearing apart the Aniocha North local government Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Delta state has landed the former member of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu; chairman of the local government council, Chuks Oseme; the state PDP publicity secretary, Michael Osuoza; Emmanuel Eboh, former commissioner for works in the state and others into an indefinite suspension from the party.

In a letter of suspension signed the Aniocha North PDP secretary, Julius Egoh, obtained by our correspondent, gave some reasons to include gross misconduct and indiscipline among others for their indefinite suspension from the party adding that action of the suspended members is counterproductive to the peace and progress of the party in the local government area.

According to the statement, “Arising from an enlarged Exco meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aniocha North chapter, on Friday 16th February, 2018, at the Party’s Secretariat in Issele-Uku, the following under listed members of the party are hereby suspended indefinitely from the party in the area. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Barr. Kress Njiokwuemeni, Hon. Chuks Oseme, Mr. Michael Osuoza, Chief Emma Eboh, and Mr. Kaikene Okolie.

“The decision was unanimously reached after taking a cursory look at the undisciplined and gross misconduct of the above persons, which are inimical to the peace and progress of the party in Aniocha north local government area. The indefinite suspension of the above persons takes immediate effect from this day, 16th February, 2018, to act as deterrent to uncultured elements within the party, who may want to cause crisis at any given opportunity for personal interests.”

The party however warned that it will no longer condoned any act of indiscipline and unruly behaviour of members, no matter how highly place politically.

HardReporters recalled that just last week a group of PDP officials in the local government area sacked and passed a vote of no confidence on the local government PDP chairman while another group of the party officials in the area slammed the lawmaker representing Aniocha North constituency in the state legislature, Emeka Nwaobi and others with indefinite suspension and barely three days another suspension from another party officials in the area has been slammed on the former house of Representatives member, Ndudi Elumelu and others.
