Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state, Godwin Ogorugba, has said it’s governor Sheriff Oborevwori or nothing with an appeal to all party faithful to embrace peace, unity and togetherness as one indivisible political family.

The council chairman stated this Saturday during All Progressive Congress, (APC) stakeholders meeting held in Ellu, Isoko North, even as he reaffirmed the leadership commitment to the collective decision of the Isoko leaders to align with the APC in solidarity with the State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.

Ogorugba recalled that during a recent gathering of the Isoko Nation at Uzere, Isoko South Local Government Council, it was unanimously agreed that the Isoko people should support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

“Just recently at Uzere, we resolved to fully support President Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. That decision has now been made even clearer with our defection to the APC. Our leader, the Governor, called us, and we all agreed to move to the APC. He leads, and we follow. It is now our duty to give our best at all levels to support this directive.” Ogorugba stated.

The council boss highlighted the governor’s impactful contributions to the Isoko Nation, particularly Isoko North, citing the ongoing massive development at the school of health technology and several road construction projects and among others.

“It is important that Isoko Nation supports our in-law and Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his commitment to infrastructural development in our area,” Ogorugba stressed.

The chairman urged leaders present to return to their wards and units and spread the message of support to the grassroots, emphasizing that Governor Oborevwori saw light in the APC and that the local government must make a concerted effort to back his leadership.

The meeting was well attended by various stakeholders, including elected officials, appointees, and former party executives from the local government.
