The Delta State government has commended the Isoko North Local Government Council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba over what it described as his laudable developmental stride since inception of office as council chairman.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Kelly Kalanama Penawou who gave the commendation on behalf of the State government Monday during an official projects assessment tour on all completed projects and ongoing projects within the local government, described Ogorugba as a tested and trusted performing chairman.
According to Penawou “Your projects are very impactful and visible, we are proud of you Mr. Chairman for Consolidating the MORE Agenda of His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Governor of Delta State in Isoko North ” he added.
In his remarks shorting after the tour of the completed and ongoing projects, the Isoko North council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba appreciated the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kelly Kalanama Penawou and his team for the projects assessment tour, noting that the visit will continue to inspire him and his administration to be more prudent in resource ultilization and accountability to Isoko North people.
Some of the completed and ongoing projects visited by the commissioner and his team include; the new administrative complex, staff clinic, perimeter fencing of Isoko North Secretariat with modern gate, management quarters, 15 lockup shops with four toilets and landscaping at Ofagbe community market, 60 open stores at Aradhe community market, re-construction of Etevie community Ozoro road, construction of nurses quarter at Otor-Igho community, re- construction of Otor-Igho community town hall, rehabilitation of Otor-Iyede water supply scheme, construction of one block of three class rooms and four toilets with water works at Imoh primary schools Iyede, construction of 65 open stores at Otor-Owhe community market, construction of 60 open stores at Owhelogbo community market among others
In another development, chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba has again assured the people of his administration’s commitment towards continued execution of meaningful projects that will positively impact directly on the lives of the people.
Ogorugba gave this assurance Friday during inspection visit to the Ozoro morden abattoir, where he announced plans to renovate the abattoir as well as construction of a perimeter fence to improve safety and overall standards.
In line with the meaningful development cardinal points of the governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, Ogorugba disclosed that his administration was ever ready to work for the people of Isoko North by bringing to the grassroots true dividends of democracy as promised during his electioneering campaigns.
The council chairman in his determination efforts towards a clean environment embarked on a weeklong drain de-silting along Ozoro, Owhelogbo road and personally supervised the level of work done aimed at mitigating the flooding that sometimes submerges Ozoro kingdom to the barest minimum.
Ogorugba however called on the people of Isoko North to always throw their unflinching support to Governo Sherriff Oborewvori’s administration and promised that isoko North shall continue to experience more development and no stone shall be left unturned.
