In a bid to foster peace and development in the region, the chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, Tuesday convened a significant meeting with the Isoko North Traditional Rulers Council and Heads of Security Agencies at his office in Ozoro, headquarters of the council.
The closed-door meeting brought together key stakeholders to discuss pressing issues affecting the local government area, including security concerns and traditional matters of mutual interest. This strategic gathering underscores the chairman’s commitment to addressing the needs of the community and promoting a peaceful coexistence.

Ogorugba’s developmental initiative has been widely commended by both traditional rulers and community leaders, who applaud his efforts to drive progress and unity in Isoko North and by engaging with traditional institutions and security agencies, Ogorugba aims to foster a collaborative approach to addressing the challenges facing the local government area, and to promote sustainable development and harmony among residents.
In another development, the Isoko North council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba has reiterated the commitment of his administration to work in synergy with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in enhancing citizens safety on the roads.
Ogorugba who made this known why receiving on a courtesy visit members of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) led by Unit Commander CSp Umukoro A, and Unit 7 Special Road Marshall led by Sir Matthew Obukowho, at his office in Ozoro, Delta State, earlier today, October 21, 2025.
Council chairman however emphasized the importance of synergy between all government sectors and agencies to ensure the safety of citizens and encouraged continued collaboration and cooperation between the local government council and FRSC to address road safety concerns and promote a safe driving for road users.
In his remarks, the FRSC delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and pledged to work closely with the Isoko North Local Government Council to enhance road safety and reduce accidents in the area.
