Pensioners in Delta state have taken to the streets of Asaba protesting against governor Ifeanyi Okowa over what they called Okowa’s deliberate refusal to their entitlements.
Our correspondent reports that as soon the news filtered into town about the protest, governor Ifeanyi Okowa hurriedly sent for the leadership of the union for a meeting but the pensioners insisted to go ahead with the protest as planned.
