As part of its civic, social cooperate responsibility and contribution to the fighting against crime, the Intafact Beverage Limited Onitsha, on Wednesday donated four brand new Mitsubishi L200 2WD Double Cabin pickup vehicles to the Anambra State Police Command to enhance its efficiency in its operations.
Presenting the vehicles to the command, the Corporate Affairs Manager of the company, Mr. Chuma Umunna, who disclosed that the vehicles have a year warranty, and appealed for constant and proper care of the vehicle adding that the vehicles no doubt will go a long way curbing crime in the state.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Ibrahim Idriss, the Anambra state Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Baba Umar, described the gesture as a welcome development and thanked the management of the company for the gesture which he said will go a long way in solving distress calls.
The police boss promised that the vehicles will be put into use for the purpose for which they were donated even as he assured proper care of the vehicles.
In a press release signed by the Anambra state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), ASP Nwode Nkeiruka and obtained by HardReporters, said, the CP used the occasion to on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Ibrahim Idris handed over a letter of appreciation to the company, for record purposes.
According to the police image maker, the cooperate affairs/legal director of the company, Mr. Otunba Daramola, who thanked the police commissioner for the appreciation letter, disclosed that the four vehicles donated by the company makes it the 12th vehicles that the company has so far donated to the police in four years, adding that it shows their undoubted commitment in the progress of the Nigeria police force.
