Gov. Dickson Appoints New CPS, PUNCH Reporter As SA Media

Following the recent nomination, screening and confirmation of former Chief Press Secretary, (CPS), to Bayelsa state governor, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson as a commissioner-designate, Governor Seriake Dickson has approved the appointment of a new Chief Press Secretary in the person of Francis Ottah Agbo.

Mr. Agbo, until his present appointment was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations.

In view of the foregoing, the Governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Fidelis Soriwei of The Punch Newspapers to take over from Mr. Agbo as the new Special Adviser on Media Relations.

The Governor has also approved the re-assignment of John Idumange as the Director-General of the newly established Directorate of Policy and Programmes and until his reassignment, Mr. Idumange was the General Manager of the Bayelsa State Broadcasting Corporation, Glory FM 97.1, Yenagoa.

In his place, Governor Dickson, according to a statement from government house, and made available to HardReporters, approved the appointment of Tari Febabor as the new General Manager of the State Broadcasting Corporation, Glory FM 97.1, Yenagoa, Mr. Febabor had previously served as the Deputy General Manager of the corporation.

All the appointments are with immediate effect the statement added.
