Tricycle operators, otherwise known as (Keke Napep) in Delta state have protested against the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Obi Nzete over extortion. The Keke Napep riders said the state PDP scribe who doubles as the state chairman of the Association of Tricycles Riders has continued to extort them through what they called irrelevant demands.

“Nzete has continued to extort us of our hard earned money amidst the multiple taxation we are always facing in the hands of the state government over the years. Nzete has continuously used his office as the state chairman of tricycle association as conduit pipe to extort monies from us.” one of the Keke riders said.

Also speaking, a Keke rider who simply identified himself as Emeka Ogbonna told HardReporters correspondent that the waste basket usually sold at N200.00 at the market, is been forced to them by the Nzete at exorbitant rate of N2, 000 while two emblems are sold to them at N3, 000.

When contacted on the telephone, the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state chairman of the Association of Tricycles Riders, Mr. Obi Nzete bullied and insulted our correspondent with severe warning not to call his mobile line again.

“What is wrong with. Are you mad? Idiot, don’t call this line again in your life.” erratic Nzete ranted.
