Reports reaching our news desk revealed that Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has compensated Chris Okobah’s wife, Mrs. Isioma Okobah, with double appointments. Okowa had recruited “Legacy Group” led by an alleged repentant “advanced free fraudster”, Mr. Okobah to carry out a hatchet job of attacking the state coordinator of All Progressives Congress, (APC) leaders council, Cairo Ojougboh.
HardReporters could recalled that in the past three months shortly after his defection to the APC, Mr. Ojougboh has been exposing what he called corrupt practices of governor Okowa as well as allegations of looting of the state treasury especially the Paris Club and operation of a blank budget.
Following Ojougboh’s “Outburst”, governor Okowa, it was reliably gathered had to recruit the services of the “Legacy Group” with the responsibility of defending him (Okowa), while carrying out the hatchet job of attacking the person of Ojougboh.
Our correspondent learnt that parts of the agreement governor Okowa reached with Okobah, leader of the group before embarking on his last two weeks vacation was the appointment of his wife, a Deltan born U.S-based physician and M.D, First Lithonia Medical Center, Atlanta Georgia, Mrs. Isioma Okobah, outside the N5 million the group allegedly received from the governor.

Addressing a press conference in November 2, 2017, at Chadef Hotels, Asaba, to kick start the hatchet job, the Vice President and National Leader of “Legacy Group”, Chris Okobah, had described his group as a non-governmental, political pressure group
“We consider the recent attacks in the media on the person and office of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by a one time member of his party the PDP, Dr Cairo Ojougboh as self-serving and unpatriotic. It is on this premise that we are challenging the issues raised by Dr. Ojougboh who until recently was in the same party with the Governor before he jumped into the APC.
“We believe the reason Dr. Ojougboh raised this false alarm is to distract the Government and that is our concern as a group focussed on the overall development of the people. Dr. Ojougbo’s allegation of a blank budget is another issue we consider unreasonable, unrealistic and unpatriotic.” Okobah took on Ojougboh.
And barely three weeks after the hatchet job, Okowa fulfilled his own part of the bargain with the appointment of the wife of Okobah, Mrs. Isioma Okobah, as Chairman, Delta State Primary Health Development Agency and Executive Assistant to the governor, on E-Health.
