A non-political partisan and
transparency group, Vanguard For Transparent Leadership and Democracy (VATLAD) has thrown it’s weight behind President Donald Trump of the United States Of America even as it condemned in strong terms what it said as media attacks on the President saying that the emergence of Trump as US President was the best thing that has ever happened to the Americans.
The group’s position which was made known through a letter addressed to the US President, through the US Ambassador to Nigeria, entitled “U.S: We Stand With President Donald Trump”, signed by its National President, Comrade (Engr) Igbini Odafe Emmanuel and the Secretary General, Comrade Kelechi Ijeoma (Miss), and made available to news men advocated for a drastic paradigm shift in America’s major domestic and foreign policies that will guaranty the safety and security of America adding that “If America is safe and secure, Nigeria will be safe and secure, so also all nations of the world.”
According to the group, “This is the reason majority of members of our group (VATLAD), though non-politically partisan), from the onset, vigorously supported the ideas and vision of Mr. Donald Trump as he was then, to seek the mandate of the Republican Party and ultimately, the mandate to lead America as the President. We thank Americans for doing just that.
“We have in the past, organized Seminars and published articles on: the role of U.S in global Peace. Anti-Corruption and Security, one of which was attended by top Delegation from the U.S Embassy in year 2004 at Port Harcourt, as evident in the enclosed document.”
VATLA therefore appealed to the US media Organizations and politicians to stand up with and support President Trump for America First, urging them to rise up in display of patriotism.
“The ongoing media attacks on President Donald Trump should please cease and give way to promotion of ideas that will help America rise again. For if America rises again, Nigeria will rise again, so also the rest of the world.” the group said.

U.S: WE STAND WITH PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP
We have keenly monitored the political developments in the United States of America for over thirty years now. We have also studied the political history of United States of America and have made great efforts at verifying some of the critical facts. We saw and witnessed the horrible and heinous attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York on September 11, 2001 which claimed over three thousands lives of innocent Americans, Nigerians and citizens of other nations.
We have seen United States of America open wide her borders to let in citizens of other nations of the world to have better lives and hope for their future. America cared for all without discriminations. Some members of our Organizations are today free citizens of America and are having and enjoying far better lives than they had back home in Nigeria.
Sadly, while the United States of America provided home and hope of all peoples of the world, some few people from within and outside America chose instead to make Americans and their country regret their love and hospitality for all others they constantly terrorized America and Americans. The cherished American Freedoms were exploited by these few people to terrorise America. Daily life in America became almost unpredictable, innocent children were being shot and killed in schools. On the streets, notorious gangs kill innocent citizens and police officers. Almost everyone lived in fear of the evil of those who terrorize and kill innocent people in America. Insecurity pervaded the land. This is unacceptable to us!
In view of all this sad developments, we prayed and consistently advocated for a drastic paradigm shift in America’s major domestic and foreign policies that will guaranty the safety and security of America because if America is safe and secure, Nigeria will be safe and secure, so also all nations of the world.

We salute Americans for freely and democratically voting for this new vision for American that President Donald Trump symbolizes. We fully support and stand by him. His philosophy of America First was long overdue and we fully support it. We support his immigration policy and request that it be extended to many other countries whose leaders and citizens have either terrorized America or terrorized their own countries. Those unpatriotic leaders who looted and loot the resources and wealth of their countries should be banned from entering America. The proven corrupt leaders of Nigeria and their families should be urgently included on this list and banned from entering the U.S.
We saw and still see great hope in President Donald Trump in tackling and putting an end to the callous looting of Nigeria’s wealth and resources by a very few privileged Nigerians in positions of trust. We see in President Trump, a sincere President who will help repatriate the looted wealth of our country and by extension, help Nigeria recover from her current security, economic and socio-political crises caused by corruption and looting of public wealth.
We therefore call on and appeal to the US media Organizations and Politicians to stand up with and support President Trump for America First. They should rise up in display of patriotism.
