In continuation of his consultations to political leaders, elders and groups across the Isoko federal constituency, the campaign team of the front line House of Representatives aspirant in the forthcoming 2019 general elections, Delta State former chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue, Mr. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, on Wednesday paid a visit on the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Working Committee(SWC).
Mr. Joel-Onowakpo, who is vying for the house of representatives seat to represent the Isoko federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), told members of the SWC led by the state chairman of the party, Mr. Jones Erue, that, after officially joining the party, it was proper for him to know the members of the State Working Committee and form the appropriate synergy.
The technocrat and astute politician of note who went memory lane on his political journey and his impact as one time chairman of Isoko south local government area, executive chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue and currently State Coordinator, Federal Inland Revenue Services, in charge of Rivers, Edo and Delta, promised a qualitative representation.
Mr. Joel-Onowakpo who formally disclosed to the APC SWC his desire to contest for the House of Representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency in 2019, however craved the adequate support of the SWC, adding that APC has come to stay in Isoko and come 2019 the party will overwhelmingly coast to victory.
Responding, the Delta State All Progressives Congress, (APC), chairman, Mr. Jones Erue, said that Joel-Onowakpo is a rear breed and APC is privileged and proud to have him in the party.
According to the state party chairman, Mr. Joel-Onowakpo who is from the same ward with him, is a good man and blessing to the party even as he promised to work with the house of representatives aspirant to ensure that the party is victorious in the 2019 general elections.
Mr. Erue, also thanked Joel-Onowakpo for donating a brand new state secretariat to the party in Asaba.
