#BBNAIJA: Gov. Okowa Throws Weight Behind Efe, Says His Is Epitome of Exemplary Conduct

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, has joined Deltans, Nigerians, fans and supporters of the Delta-Born, Jos-raised BBNaija Housemate, Efe, to thrown his weight and support behind Delta State born BBNaija contestant, describing him as an epitome of exemplary conduct.

Okowa in a statement issued in Asaba on Wednesday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu and obtained by HARDREPORTERS, noted that Delta State is proud of the conduct and behaviour of Efe in the competition as he has remained out of controversies in the Big Brother’s House.

While pouring encomiums on the Efe for being a good ambassador of Delta State, Okowa vowed that the State Government will continue to support talented Deltans to achieve their dreams.

“As a state we are very delighted that our son Efe is in the finals of the #BBNaija competition. We are glad that he is relating very well with the house mates and has survived all the evictions and avoided controversies in the house.

“He has portrayed the Delta character of being a true patriot and a worthy ambassador of the state. As a state we have continued to support talents in sports, creative entertainment and even in business and it is our hope that Efe will make us proud again.

“On behalf of the first family of Delta State, we urge Deltans and indeed Nigerians to support Efe to clinch the prize money. Beyond the prize money, he has displayed leadership traits that has distinguished him as a role model.” Okowa stressed.

It would be recalled that Wednesday morning, fans and supporters of “Based On Logistics Housemate” stormed roads and streets of the oil rich city of Warri, Delta state in a motorcade with banners and posters bearing his pictures as a means of canvassing for votes and pledging their support for the Delta state born housemate to win the N25 million and SUV at stake.

Nigerian Rapper Iceprince and popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth had also joined declaring their support for Efe.

Two days ago, the Rivers State Government embarked soliciting of votes for its daughter, Marvis, in the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show.

A letter issued and signed by the ministry permanent secretary, Mr. Michael Ejiohuo, for the Rivers State Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, and obtained by HARDREPORTERS appealed to indigenes of the state to vote for their own.

“The Rivers State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, wishes to use this medium to appeal to the good people of Rivers State to stand behind their daughter, Miss Marvis Nkpornwi. Our daughter is from Onne, Eleme in Rivers State. By special grace of God, she moved to the final stage in the BIG BROTHER NAIJA house competition.” the statement stated.
