If the information filtering into HardReporters news desk is anything to go by, then Delta state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa may have concluded all necessary arrangement to sell off the junior staff quarters in Asaba.
HardReporters reliably gathered that already, quit notice is been issued out to occupants of the quarters, to enable government put it for sale.
An occupant who is also a civil servant, told our correspondent, “We have been asked to leave that the state government want to sell off the place. As I talk to you now, everybody is making arrangement to relocate.”
Calls and messages sent to the state commissioner for information, Mr. Patrick Ukah were not responded to as at the time our correspondent was filing this report.
Just last week, the news broke of how Delta state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa sold Delta Transport Service (Delta Line) to one of his cronies, GIG Transport Development Company Limited (God Is Good Motors), at an offer of N161 million and rejected the N2 billion bidding of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Delta State chapter, thereby throwing into the labour market without compensations, the over 730 workers of Delta Line.
