News just filtering into our newsroom indicated that the people of Oleh community, Isoko South local government area of Delta state have selected Powell Ojogho and Ovuakpoye Evivie, both of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) as replacement for late Kenneth Edafe Ogba, member representating Isoko South constituency 1, Delta state house of Assembly.
It would be recalled that the late lawmaker, Ogba, 54, slumped and died on Sunday, 27, June, 2021 at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South government area of the state and was buried on Saturday, 24, 2021 at Oleh
Powell Ojogho, former culture commissioner and currently Executive Assistant, Protocol to governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Ovuakpoye Evivie, who was sponsored by governor Okowa’s political ally, Ross Uredi, had contested the PDP house of Assembly primaries with the late lawmaker, Ogba in the 2019 general elections.
Ovuakpoye Evivie, is a business man and said to be a political god son to Ross Uredi, Okowa’s political ally).
The selection of the two candidates, HardReporters reliably gathered, was done Sunday by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), at Oleh.
