In the spirit of the season, the wife of the Isoko South Local Government chairman of Delta state, Mrs. Abigail Warri has put smiles on the faces of one hundred aged women and widows of the local government to celebrate the Christmas.
Presenting items which includes bags of rice, noddles, cartoons of tomatoes, gallons of groundnut oil, yams, bags of salt and among other things, the council chairman’s wife stated that the gesture aimed to ensure a hitch-free christmas celebration.

The event which was held Tuesday at the Otobo Hall, Oleh, headquarters of the Isoko South council was attended by the council chairman, Friday Ovoke Warri.
According to the wife of the local government council chairman, she derives great pleasure from offering whatever support she can to the elderly within the communities even as she explained that she organized the event to enable them to revel in the festive season and experience a sense of unity and affection amongst everyone during the celebrations.

Mrs. Warri expressed gratitude to Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, wife of the state governor for her unwavering commitment to the welfare of the elderly in the state.
The first lady conveyed warmest wishes to all citizens within the local government and beyond as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, saviour of mankind.
“I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy prosperous new year in Jesus name amen.”
