FIRST YEAR IN OFFICE: Ogba Reels Out Scorecard, Promises To Do More

The member representing Isoko South constituency 1 in the Delta state house of Assembly, Hon. Kenneth Edafe Ogba, has pledged to do more to develop his constituency, just as he thanked his constituents for their supports and prayers in the last one year.

Ogba, the “People’s Choice” as he is fondly called by constituents, made the pledge Wednesday in Asaba while listing areas he has impacted positively in the last one year.

In a statement from the media office of the lawmaker, disclosed that “Hon. Kenneth Edafe Ogba, cosponsored a bill for a law to prohibit all forms of discrimination and protection, access to justice, support and care for all persons living with HIV/AIDS in Delta state and for other related purposes.

“Cosponsored a bill for a law to establish the Delta State Corporate Social Responsibility Monitoring Agency and for other matters connected thereto.”

Because of his love for human capital development, Ogba sponsored the training of fourteen (14) persons in computer, photography and videography. Engagement/appointment of seventeen (17) liaison officers. Provision of startup capital to some constituents. Influenced the admission of ten (10) constituents into institution s of higher learning.

“Facilitated the reinstatement of a sacked constituent due to health challenge at Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku and the wrongful placement of two constituents. Business sustainability packages to some selected constituents to cushion the effect of covid-19 on their businesses.”

On education, Ogba, who is loved by all and well known for political grassroots mobilization across Isoko land, “Facilitated the provision of science laboratory equipment to some selected secondary schools in Isoko South Constituency one (1).

“Provision of learning aid to some students in higher institutions during the COVID-19 lockdown as well as restoration of electricity to Emiye Girls Grammar School, Oleh.”

The lawmaker, also “Facilitated the award of Yanga market road through Irri to Aviara community in conjunction with his colleague, the member representing Isoko South constituency 2 in the Delta state house of Assembly.”

While charging his constituents to continue to remain steadfast and supportive, Ogba, appealed to all and sundry to join hands with him to move the constituency to greater heights.
