Former Aide To Former Vice President Atiku Dies


Former special adviser on Public Communications between to former vice President Atiku Abubakar and one time Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Kogi state Dr. Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba is dead.

According to reports available to our correspondent indicates that Onukaba, a long time trustee to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, refined writer and an acclaimed Journalist, died while on his way back from OBJ’s Event while hiding from ambushed highway rubbers resulting to one of the fleeing vehicles hitting him where he was hiding in the bush.

This unbelievable selfless guy lost his wife few years ago, leaving him with children as young as 5 years old.

Dr. Onukaba, a humanitarian, a father of three young children, mentor to a community of youths and a hero to so many, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the then ailing Daily Times of Nigeria PLC, playwright and publisher of high repute.

Dr. Onukaba, has published so many books and journals to his credit which includes, “In the Eye of Time”- a biography of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, “Atiku Abubakar”–a biography of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. “Born to Run” – a biography of Late Dele Giwa, co-authored by him and Dele Olojede.

Some of his plays include, Her Majesty’s Visit, A Resting Place, Tower of Burden, The Virginity Flee, The Lone Ranger, Bargain Hunting, and Soommalliyya. His play, “The Killing Swamp” was one of the three finalists for the 2010 NLNG Literature Award.
