Delta state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa has commended what he called sterling leadership of the state Chairman of the Association of Local Government, ALGON Delta State who doubles as the chairman of Isoko South local government area of the state, Sir. Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo as well as his exceptional role in maintaining peace and security and providing the much needed leadership at a critical time in the history of the local government.
The governor who gave the commendation Tuesday in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South council during the commissioning of the Amawha Layout/Idheze link road in the area in commemoration of his second year anniversary applauded the ALGON boss for his effective coordination of the governance of the local governments in the state which the governor said has significantly helped to stabilize his administration and helping in resolving host of knotty issues at the local government.
Governor Okowa however assured the people of Isoko nation of his administration’s commitment towards the provision of critical infrastructures aimed at improving the living condition of the people as well as ease economic activities across the local government.
The Governor also used the opportunity to inspect the Ozaha model School and Emore Grammar School building projects where he promised speedy completion of both projects.
Earlier in his welcome address, the state Chairman of the Association of Local Government, ALGON Delta State who is also the chairman of Isoko South local government area, Sir. Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo assured the governor Okowa of the unalloyed support and prayers of the people of Isoko South in his resolve to better the lives of Deltans.
Earlier, at the palace of the Odiologbo of Oleh, HRM A.W.O. Ovrawah, JP, governor Okowa congratulated the monarch on his 80th birthday and 23 years coronation celebration.
Governor Okowa also commissioned the refurbished old Ozoro/Oleh road in Isoko North local government area of the state.
