Ahead of the 2019 general elections, All Progressives Congress, (APC) House of Representatives hopeful of Isoko federal constituency, Mr. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has said that one of his cardinal agenda is to bring mega development to the Isoko people and create opportunities for the constituents even as he vowed not to shortchange his people by taking what belongs to them.

The APC candidate, who stated this Monday, during a consultation visit to the President General of Emede Progressive Union (EPU), Ejumejowo Okporokpo, (EPU) leadership and people of Okporo Quarters in Emede, noted that he is a highly contented man, saying his emergence as a House of Representatives member will create room for upcoming political leaders and unlock the destinies of many, which have hitherto been tied down as a result of kleptomaniac leadership.

“I joined this House of Representatives race to win and deliver to the Isoko people a purposeful representation that will greatly advance Isoko nation in the Nigerian polity. I am a known contented man, therefore, I will never for any reason take what belongs to the Isoko people neither will I deny them whatever that is rightfully theirs.

“During my time as the Representative of the Isoko people in the House of Representatives, I can assure you that a lot of people will be face to face with their destinies. All I need from you is to continue lending your unalloyed support to this noble cause, so that we can speed up Isoko progress together”, Joel-Onowakpo said.

While giving his endorsement speech on behalf of EPU, the President General, Ejumejowo Okporokpo said that the Union and Emede people are solidly behind Joel-Onowakpo Thomas on his House of Representatives bid and urged him not to follow the inglorious path of some political leaders, who always prioritized their interest over the larger interest of the society.

On his path, the Odio of Okporo quarters, who spoke on behalf of his people, prayed for success for Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and charged him to continue advancing the cause of the Isoko people without fear because he is confident that the Isoko people are solidly behind him.
