IMG Condemns Gruesome Murder Of DELSU First Class Student, Calls For Justice

As condemnations and mixed reactions continued to trail the recent gruesome murder of Miss Elozino Ogege, a first class 300 level undergraduate in the department of Mass Communication, Delta State University, (DELSU), Abraka, by suspected ritualists masquerading as internet fraudsters (Yahoo plus boys), for ritual purposes, the Isoko Monitoring Group, (IMG) has added her voice to call for justice.

Suspected ritualists masquerading as internet fraudsters (Yahoo plus boys), had last week murdered Miss Elozino Ogege, native of Isoko and first class 300 level student of Mass Communication, Delta State University, (DELSU), Abraka, in the University community for money making rituals where she has gone to meet an agent, who was assisting her secure an apartment in the town.

In a statement titled “IMG Condemns The Murder Of Elozino Ogege, Calls For Thorough Investigation And Prosecution Of Culprits” signed by Kingsley Oroh, (Ph.D) for the Isoko Monitoring Group (IMG), and obtained by HardReporters, condemned the murder of the student.

“The Isoko Monitoring Group (IMG) has outrightly condemned the brutal killing of Miss Elozino Ogege, an Isoko First Class undergraduate that was studying Mass Communication at the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka by suspected ritualists.

“Elozino was adopted few weeks ago and was declared missing. While the family was expecting her safe return, the news of her merciless slaughtering by her abductors, who removed sensitive parts of her body set in and has since thrown the entire society into agony.

“We see this gruesome act as the height of wickedness and IMG condemns the murder in its entirety. The killers of Elozino Ogege are barbaric, mean, heartless, most callous and lack human sympathy. For the matter of fact, they don’t deserve to live for exhibiting this ungodly act and man’s inhumanity against fellow man because no one has the right to take the life of another man.

“IMG and the Isoko nation is interested in this case, so we are charging the Nigerian Police to do a thorough investigation on the matter and ensure that justice prevails at the end of the day. We want to see all the culprits and everyone involved in this barbaric act brought to justice to serve as a deterrent to others who would want to follow that inglorious path.

“The rate of insecurity in Delta State is becoming alarming by the day and it calls for stringent actions by the men of the Nigerian Police Force and other security outfits.” the statement concluded.
