Isoko APC Calls On President Buhari To Run For Second Tenure, Applauds His Giant Strides

The Isoko federal constituency of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Delta state, has joined other millions of Nigerians to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to run for a second term in office to continue what the party described as “his good works.”

The party made the call Tuesday in Oleh
at country home of the caucus leader of the party in Isoko South, Joe Arausi, during an enlarged APC Isoko federal constituency meeting comprising Isoko South and Isoko North local government areas of the state, attended by the party LGA chairmen of the two councils, ward chairmen of the 24 wards of Isoko federal constituency and prominent leaders of the party.

The APC Isoko federal constituency also called on the APC National to do all in its best to respect the party constitution and order the conduct of free, fair and credible congress at all levels of the party in the interest of internal democracy and all inclusiveness in the party.

In a communiqué shortly after the enlarged meeting, signed by the party leaders from both local governments, Joe Arausi, Abikelegba Odhegolo, Eniforo Mallam-Obi, Silas Buowe, Goodnews Agbi, Lucky Okperi, Benjamin Efekodo, Okareme Maikpobi, Prosper Awhoregba, Itiveh, Benjamin Okiemute Essien,John Urete- APC chairman Isoko South, Godwin Idinwabor- APC chairman Isoko North, John Araka, Sherriff Idebe and Gladys Ogorure, and made available to HardReporters, the party considered and passed the following resolutions:

“That the APC Isoko Federal constituency having reviewed the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari in office, do hereby resolved that Mr. President be called upon to run for a second term in office to continue his good works.

“That APC Isoko Federal constituency do pass a vote of confidence on caucus leaders of Isoko South local government and Isoko North local government Chief Joe Arausi and Hon. Abikelegba Odhegolo respectively for offering purposeful leadership for the Apc Isoko Federal Constituency.

“That the APC Isoko federal constituency do pass a vote of confidence on the APC chairman, Isoko South Barr. John Urete and his counterpart in Isoko North local government Sir Godwin Idinwabor.

“That the APC Isoko federal constituency, do resolve that members of APC in Delta state especially in Isoko federal constituency, do comply with the directives of the APC state caucus ordering the dissolution of all pressure groups operating within the APC in the interest of the health of the party and winning the Delta governorship come 2019.

“That henceforth Isoko federal constituency do mandate Hon. Chief Joe Arausi and Hon. Abikelegba Odhegolor to convene regular meetings of the federal constituency in the interest of winning elections for APC in 2019.

“That the chairmen of APC in the two local government areas of Isoko South and North be enjoined to henceforth call regular meetings of their respective LGAs with a view to mobilising to win the 2019 elections across the Isoko federal constituency.

“Finally, the APC Isoko federal constituency do resolve to call on the APC National to do all in its best to respect the party constitution and order the conduct of free, fair and credible congress at all levels of the party in the interest of internal democracy and all inclusiveness in our party.” the communique concluded.
