“Our rector is having a serious sleepless nights following the petition of that group called IMG. “I can confirm to you that already something is been done, I learnt a letter was written to the leadership of IDU and some traditional rulers in Isoko on the issue. Aside that letter, other things are been doing to pacify some nerves just to give the rector a clean bill of heart. The rector on his own, is also begging some political leaders and monarchs in the area too to intervene and save his job.” a lecturer confided in our correspondent.
Also confiding in our correspondent, a staff in the office of the rector who pleaded for anonymity for fear of victimization, disclosed that the embattled rector was already working out some modalities to engage some persons and unions in the institution, especially from the Isoko extraction to carry out various publications in his favour in order to exonerate him from all the allegations leveled against him by the Isoko group.

“But on a serious note, the rector is a very corrupt man who is always using religion to cover up and deceive the people while he perpetrate his sharp practices in the institution. I can tell you that majority of the institution’s staff, not only from Isoko but from other tribes are very happy with the IMG for that bold steps taken so far. How we wish other groups can emulate the IMG.
“We learnt the matter is before the Honourable commissioner for Higher Education, Mr. Jude Sinebe, and we ask how are we sure any good result will come from there.? Because as we talk, Jude Sinebe is still been paid monthly salaries from the school as a part time lecturer even after been appointed as a commissioner. The rector will bribe the commissioner and he will be exonerated just watch.” the staff stated.

Meanwhile, the group has vowed to follow up the issue to a logical conclusion with the facts and documents at his disposal without minding whose ox is gored.
