There was pandemonium few days ago at
the Obodeti Senior Secondary Commercial School, Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State, when a newly recruited federal government N-Power teacher, Mr. Benjamin Enuofu aggressively brutalised an NYSC corp member serving in the school.
HardReporters reliably gathered that trouble started when the teacher accosted the corp member whose name was given as Miss. Bilikis Rufai, to hand over to him some money allocated to their house for their school’s inter-house sports competition and she vehemently refused.
According to a staff of the school who witnessed the whole scenario, the refusal of Miss. Rufai to hand over the money meant for the inter-house sports competition, infuriated Mr. Enuofu who now beat up Miss. Rufai in a brutal manner which resulted the corp member falling into a severe coma.
The staff told HardReporters correspondent on phone that the victim has since reported the incident to NYSC’s local government inspector and the Abbi police station but nothing nothing has been done about it.
“Its a very sad incident and very unfortunate. We later discovered that the intention of Mr. Enuofu was to hijack the money and use it for a personal purpose different from what it was generally meant for. We thank God that Miss. Rufai is alive if not it would have been a different case entirely. Anyways, the issue is been looked into now by the school authority and the law enforcement agency.” the staff said.
