* Pledge Total Support For Uduaghan’s Senatorial Ambition
Delta state youths numbering over fifty the three senatorial districts of the state who were trained in Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados between the period of 2014 and 2015 by the Emmanuel Uduaghan led administration on Wednesday paid a unscheduled thank you visit to former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan at his Warri country home for the gesture.
Speaking on behalf of the empowerment beneficiaries and leader of the delegation, Paul Tega Paul, expressed utmost gratitude to the erstwhile number one citizen of the state for finding them worthy to have been part of a laudable idea midwifed to take the state beyond oil.
While expressing the delegation’s gratitude to former governor Uduaghan, Mr. Tega who was full of excitement used the opportunity to recount some of the success story the program achieved, disclosing that some of the youths who measured in Welding and Fabrication, Drilling, Hotel Management, Culture and Tourism, Entrepreneur among other fields have since been engaged by some multinationals while others now employers of labour.
While assuring the former governor of the beneficiaries desire and determination to reciprocate the uncommon gesture by giving him the full and absolute support to see that his senatorial ambition is realized, Mr. Tega however appealed to the former number citizen of the state to on behalf of other beneficiaries of the training who have not been fully engaged plead with the present government of Ifeanyi Okowa to come to their aid so as to become self reliance by putting into practice the knowledge acquired to the benefit of themselves, the society and the state general.
Responding, former Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan who expressed shock thanked and commended the Trinidad, Tobago and Barbados trainees for such uncommon bravery and quality exhibited by them.
Mr. Uduaghan who noted that it is difficult to see that even after government they still remembered to single him out for appreciation, assuring that as a compassionate man and father, the would see how he could be of assistance to those that are desirous with a well tailored business plan.
The visit came to a climax with the presentation of a gigantic thank you card with the inscription “We humbly wish to appreciate you for making our individual lives better through your human capital development initiative as governor of Delta State. Your Excellency, words may not be enough to appreciate you, may God in his infinite mercies continue to bless and reward you abundantly. Thank you sir.”
