Immediate past governor of Delta State, Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu-Sheriff are said to be among the first callers attending the All Progressives Congress, APC, Caucus meeting at the New Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
VANGUARD reports that the meeting was the first caucus meeting President Muhammadu Buhari was having with his party members after the gale of defection that hit the APC.
The presence of former Delta State Governor claded in white agbada and red cap attracted jubilation amongst APC members.
National Chairman of the party, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole arrived at the venue of the meeting about 8:24pm which is also the first caucus meeting the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and former Minority leader of the Senate, Mr. Godswil Akpabio was attending after his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC.
After the opening prayers, the meeting entered into closed door session.
Among the people in the meeting included the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, serving and former governors of the party, federal lawmakers, members of the National Working Committee and party chieftains.
Majority of the members came in after President Buhari had already seated for the meeting.
