The audio tape of the Delta state commissioner of police, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, dismissing the senator representing Delta Central constituency, Mr. Ovie Omo Agege’s claims of a purported assassination attempt on him, his wife and other APC leaders has surfaced.
The Delta state commissioner of police, Mr. Ibrahim had chickened out by saying he had at no time disclosed to the press or any member of the public that the senator representing Delta Central constituency, Mr. Ovie Omo Agege, lied about the purported assassination attempt on him, his wife and other APC leaders.
Mr. Zanna Ibrahim had on Sunday dismissed claims by the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Senator representing Delta central, Ovie Omo-Agege, that the invasion of the venue of his second phase of his constituency ‘empowerment’ program in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta State by thugs was an assassination attempt on him, his wife, members of his family, APC leaders and his supporters.
In a rebuttal titled “Rebuttal On Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s Alleged Assassination Attempt” signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Mr. Andrew Aniamaka and obtained by HardReporters Crime Correspondent said, “The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Zanna M. Ibrahim, psc has stated that the Command had at no time disclosed to the press or any member of the public that Senator Ovie Omo Agege, Senator representing Delta Central constituency, lied.”
