* Embarks On Recruitment Of Bad Boys Into New Group
Ahead of the 2019 forthcoming general elections, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Mr. Askia Ogieh, is alleged to be the mask behind the recently inaugurated parallel Isoko youth body known as the Isoko National Youth Council (INYC), HardReporters can report.
It was reliably learnt that the Ogieh’s newly formed parallel youth body, which will serve as a rivalry to the legally and only recognised Ovie Umuakpo led Isoko National Youth Assembly, (INYA), is to work for the interest of governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s reelection as well as harassment, intimidation and waging battle against perceived political enemies in Isoko nation.

The Ogieh’s youth body which has one, Mr. Fidelis Utomudo as its President, Mr. Paul Agbama, as 1st Vice President, Mr. Pual Otuonuyo, as 2nd Vice President and one Mr. Matthew Edugbo as Secretary, it was gathered will henceforth be accommodated in the DESOPADEC monthly N20 million accrued to the Umuakpo led Isoko National Youth Assembly, (INYA).
It was gathered that some of the executive members of the Ogieh’s parallel youth group are said to be close allies to one Mr. Victor Egbo, former President of the INYA, who doubles as Special Assistant on youth and community to the governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
It would be recalled that before now, the N20 million accrued to the (INYA) from the commission is normally released through the office of the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Mr. Ogieh, but whenever the money is released, the sum of N2 million is given to the Victor Egbo, former President of (INYA), who doubles as aide to the governor, while Mr. Ogieh, will give N2 million to his son, Mr. Samuel Askia who does nothing, under a fraudulent subhead of consultancy and the remaining N16 million is allegedly shared among the likes of former house of Assembly member, Mr. Ross Uredi, Mr. Ogieh himself, the commissioner representing Isoko nationality in the commission, Mr. Ovie Oghoore and others.
According to a source who spoke with our correspondent, “Isoko is in for a big problem come 2019. If you are not aware let me tell you now that the newly formed Fidelis Utomudo led Isoko National Youth Council, (INYC), is a baby of Askia Ogieh for the second tenure of governor Ifeanyi Okowa. Myself and other youths were invited to be members that we will not lack anything because the body is been funded fully by Askia. But we resisted because of the not palatable antecedents of the mask behind the group.” the source disclosed.
HardReporters crime correspondent further gathered that Mr. Ogieh who is said to be synonymous with bloody crisis in Isoko nation is alleged to be recruiting bad boys within and outside the area into the newly inaugurated factional youth body who will later be armed with sophisticated weapons to confront the opposition and perceived enemies in the area during the general elections.
As at the time of this report, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Mr. Askia Ogieh, did not respond to calls made to his mobile line.
