The House of Assembly ambition of former Special Assistant to immediate past governor of Delta state, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Mike Ogwah over the weekend garnered more support following the stepping down of Ogwah’s co-contestant under the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Isoko North constituency, Harryman Okoro.

Immediately after stepping down for Mr. Ogwah, Mr. Okoro led his teeming supporters to endorse Ogwah for the position of the Delta state house of Assembly during an enlarged ceremony which took place at Otor Owhe community, Isoko North local government area of the state, and witnessed by grassroot political heavyweights across the constituency.

Addressing a cross section of politicians from different grassroot movements, Isoko Patriotic Forum, Isoko Grassroot Movement, Owhelogbo Grassroot Movement, Macaulay Political Vanguard, Peoples’ Parliament Ozoro, Isoko Advancement Network, Otor Owhe Women’s Forum and notable personalities from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), family, Mr. Okoro, a front line house of Assembly hopeful under the PDP, said his decision to step down for and subsequently endorse Mike Ogwah for the position was after a painstaking consultation with his immediate family, teeming supporters and elders of his party the PDP.

Okoro recalled that he joined the race to put an end to poor representation at the House by the incumbent even after countless tenures and has covered much ground before this idea of forming a formidable force in Isoko North Constituency in order to end misrepresentation was given birth to.

Okoro therefore enjoined his campaign coordinators to collapse into Ogwah’s team and work as a winning team, and called on his supporters in all the wards to unite and ensure Ogwah is voted into office come 2019.

In a brief remark, Mike Ogwah recalled that he has known Okoro as a senior brother which is further buttressed by this sacrificial display that cannot go unrewarded and expressed gratitude to Okoro, his family and the PDP elders in Isoko North Constituency for this bold step.

HardReporters correspondent reports that highlight of the event was the formal and symbolic warm embrace and hand lifting by Harryman Okoro and Mike Ogwah to the admiration of everyone present at the ceremony.
