The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state, Godwin Ogorugba has vowed that come 2027 it’s governor Sheriff Oborevwori for second tenure or nothing saying his stand and his unwavering support for the reelection bid of governor  Oborevwori can never be compared to anything else.

Ogorugba stated that he remains fully committed with the governor’s directives and has no alternative political stance other than to follow the path laid out by the governor.

The council chairman who made this declaration on Sunday while hosting the councillors of Isoko North led by Pascal Emehaula, alongside the secretary to the local government, Vote Umukoro, supervisors, aides, and their spouses, at an Easter get-together held at his country home at Otor-Igho, emphasised that come 2027 the governor shall coast to a landslide victory as no match to challenge him.

“It’s important I clarify my position. As one of the hosts of the recent Isoko Interactive Session, my primary concern is the successful re-election of our Governor. Wherever he directs, I will follow. I have no personal agenda for 2027, my loyalty lies with the governor’s chosen course. I want to commend the legislative arm of the council for the strong collaboration and unity of purpose that has existed since we assumed office.

“Our legislative arm has been highly cooperative, and I deeply appreciate their support. I want to assure every councillor that all council projects will be equitably distributed across wards, so they are remembered for facilitating development in their communities.. Councillors will not be left behind in constituency projects. I don’t intend to be a chairman who neglects councillors’ constituency projects. Every project will be fully funded. I trust that we all stand united in supporting our governor’s re-election come 2027.”, Ogorugba assured.

The council chairman also took time to appreciate the presence of the local government party’s women leaders and urged them to remain steadfast and committed to the political journey ahead.
