A group known as Anti Leo Ogor Fifth Tenure Agenda, (ALOFTA) has launched an aggressive campaigns against the return of Isoko born corrupt federal House of Representatives member and the minority leader, Mr. Leo Ogor, to the green chamber for the fifth time come 2019.
In a statement titled “The Ventilations Of An Erroneous Bourgeois” by chairman of (ALOFTA), Mr. Dio Oghale Emeka Rex and obtained by HardReporters, said “It is no more news that the people of Isoko Federal constituency have continuously and consistently empowered a comprador bourgeoisie for 14 futile years; in the person of Leo Ogor.”
According to the group, “Today we have come as concerned people who have been raped to declare our unshaken stand; that leadership is not the exclusive right of one man and one family must not consistently feed on the collective sweat of a Nation.” adding that the Isoko Nation has rejected Ogor who came into power with so much sugar coated venomous promises of the emancipation of the Isoko people.
The group lamented that Ogor who was given the rare mandate has consistently conned that mandate and was no longer welcomed. “We have been silent for long which is unacceptable. “For the man dies in him who remain silent in the face of tyranny” (Prof. Wole Soyinka). The Isoko Nation have for long remained in the stone age because one man who is tasked with the responsibility of catapulting us into the 21st century has made the 21st century his private entitlement.
“We sent him to make laws for the betterment of our nation and attract projects to Isoko land. But have he done that? Let the people judge! For the past 14 years Leo Ogor has been sitting in the National Assembly feeding fat with Isoko Nation left to his fate. After several sampled opinion from constituents, these are the only constituency projects found in his file for 14 years:
“Being sole signatories to and Ownership of six(6) companies not declared in his asset declaration form viz: Laurelton Global services Ltd, Zanny concern Ltd, Racen Integrated Global Nig ltd, Simplified Concept Ltd, Fergio ventures Ltd, Peanard Nig Ltd. Fraudulently attracting constituency projects for his companies to the sum of N116million without execution.
“Curious payment/receipt of N318million from NDDC for undisclosed projects by two of his companies. Ownership of thirty account most of which were hidden from the code of conduct bureau. Political oratory without output. Unattended projects e.t.c.” Rex stated.
ALOFTA chairman, however noted that following the terrible underdevelopment of Isoko, the group has decided to call on all Isoko sons and daughters to tell Ogor that the dark age of the Isoko nation is over and the people are now wiser. “Leo Ogor come back home!”
Meanwhile ALOFTA said it will embark on a rally in October in Ozoro to sensitise the Isoko people why Ogor must be rejected and stopped for fifth tenure in the Federal House of Representatives in 2019.
It would be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had few months ago secured a court order from Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court to block N116million belonging to the House of Representatives Minority Leader, Leo Ogor.
The money it was said contained in the accounts of five of the six companies owned by Ogor with which he secured contracts from some agencies as constituency projects while EFCC was also looking into a payment of over N318million to two of the companies by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
