Threats issued by Delta state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa to disengage his political appointees and forfeiture of their monthly imprests following their inability to contribute their quotas to the growth and development of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) as well as failure to empower supporters have forced the governor’s aides into a fire brigade selected empowerment in their home towns.

Okowa had last month during Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) enlarged stakeholders meeting to celebrate the victory of the Ahmed Makarfi led caretaker committee at the Supreme court threatened that appointees who fails to work and contribute their quotas either in kind or financially, for the growth of the party shall have their monthly imprests and reappointment forfeited and such imprests shall be remitted to the party beginning from last month which will run for the next three months.

Barely few days the threats was issued, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Charles Aniagwu hurriedly put together a fire brigade empowerment for his community indigenes at Akumazi, in Ika North East local government area of the state saying that his purpose of embarking on the empowerment for his people, was as a result of the love he has for them as well as to contribute his quota towards achieving the governor Okowa’s SMART agenda.

In the fire brigade empowerment, HardReporters reliably learnt that Aniagwu, gave out meagre cash, few hair dressing equipment, tailoring equipment among others to few selected relations and cronies in his community.

In the same vein, another Okowa’s fraudulent and overzealous protocol aide, Temple Mudi rushed to his village, Ekakpramre, Ughelli South local government area of the state where few items were given to selected family members and cronies with a kangaroo defection of an All Progressives Congress, (APC), member in the ward, Samson Okiemute and few arranged persons to the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the area just to show to the governor all is well.

“We have yet again come back home to share with our people with the little at our disposal in line with the prosperity for all Deltans as promised by our dear Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. This gesture is a continuous process and I appeal to those who didn’t benefit today to be patient as they will be attended to in our next batch of empowerment.” Mudi stated.

HardReporters observed that two and half years gone, non of governor Okowa’s aides has embarked on empowerment of supporters until last month when the governor issued threats thereby forcing the CPS and the protocol aide into a fire brigade selective empowerment of family members and cronies as supporters.
