The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state, Godwin Ogorugba has lifted the curfew imposed in the local council following bloody confraternity clashes in the area.
Lifting the curfew Friday during an emergency meeting of the local government security and peace committee, presided over by the council boss, Ogorugba, urged residents to go about their lawful activities and warned against any form of break down and law in the area.

In an official statement issued shortly after the meeting by the Secretary to the local government Vote Umukoro, the local government reiterated that the ban on all youths elections and activities across the local government remained suspended.
Community leaders were strongly warned against participating in or facilitating any youth elections or inaugurations, as the local government will take strict action against violators, adding that however, the ban on the movement of motorcycles (Okada), Keke, and vehicles has been lifted to allow normal operation of markets, shops, beer parlors, and restaurants.
The committee also reiterated its earlier decision on profiling of tenants and the reporting of suspicious activities in their area.
The chairman expressed gratitude to security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, Police, SSS, and vigilante groups, for their coordinated efforts throughout the restriction period.
