The senator representing Delta Central senatorial district of Delta state, Ovie Omo-Agege has been elected as the Senate Deputy President of the 9th National Assembly.
Omo-Agege, of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) who polled 68 votes defeated the immediate past senate deputy president of the 8th nationsl Assembly, Ike Ekweremadu, of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), who polled 37 votes.
