* Warn Okowa To Distance Self From Anwuzia’s Second Term Candidature

Following what they described as a monumental failure, zero delivery of dividends of democracy as well as lack of recognition for the youths, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Aniocha South chapter and the sixteen autonomous community youth Presidents in the local government area have rejected the second tenure bid of the council chairman, Isaac Anwuzia and slammed him with a vote of no confidence.

In a communiqué signed by and endorsed by sixteen Youth President of autonomous communities of Aniocha South local government area of the state and the local government executive of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and obtained by HardReporters, said Mr. Anwuzia is a disappointment and failure.

“It may interest all and sundry to know that his first tenure as a council chairman was at the same instance with that of his Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi  Okowa as chairman of Ika North East who impressed his people and progressed from council chairman to commissioner, Secretary to the State Government, Senate and currently governor of the state.

“But contrary to our amiable governor’s antecedent, Chief Isaac Anwuzia, was busy extorting monies from his people in the name of internally generated revenue that is not accounted for and his wholesome swallowing of the council’s allocation without recourse to the development of the council area hence his lofty dream as it were, is to perpetuate himself as the council boss till his old age.

“We the entire youths of Aniocha South are vexed by the imposition of his candidature against the governor’s promise during the Ogwashi–Uku town hall meeting where his Excellency assured the youths that he will not impose any candidate on us but will allow us to choose our leader. Aniocha South Youths advise our amiable Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to distance himself and disassociate from the candidature of chief Isaac Anwuzia.” they said.

According to the youths, Anwuzia’s administration has already made him unpopular and rejected by the entire youth of Aniocha South local government area, even as they vowed to fight with the last drop of their blood in making sure he does not taste the seat again.
