Delta CP Goofed As Vigilante Discovers Corpse Of A Policeman Killed By Fulani Herdsmen *Three Service Riffles Missing

Commissioner of police, Delta state, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, has goofed following his last week vehement denial that no police man was either missing or killed by Fulani Herdsmen during a clash with his men on Sunday at Ohoror community, Delta State. However, contrary to the police boss claims, the corpse of the slayed policeman earlier discovered to be missing after the clash with the herdsmen has been found.

Hard Reporters can recall that the last week Sunday clash by the police team and the Fulani herdsmen who were dressed in police uniform is the second within fourteen days after the first clash which took place on January 23, 2017.

An indigene of the community who narrated what happened during the clash told Hard Reporters on phone that the herdsmen were dressed in police uniform, armed with AK47 and other dangerous weapons when they engaged the team of the policemen drafted from the Ughelli Area command in a gun duel and in the process several policemen were left with serious degrees of wounds and left two police officers missing.

According to the Hard Reporters, source, on discovering the corpse of the slayed police man floating on the river, they put calls across to the police authority.

Meanwhile, Hard Reporters reliably gathered that three service riffles belonging to the police are still missing.

When Hard Reporters contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Mr. Emeka Aniamaka, told our correspondent to do him a short message but as at the time of the filing in the story, nothing was heard from the state PPRO while the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary of the Ughelli Central hospital.
