DTHA Majority Leader, Owhefere Predicts Landslide Victory For Okowa, PDP


As the Delta state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday flagged off its campaigns for the 2019 general elections, the state house of Assembly majority leader, Tim Kome Owhefere, has asserted that the party and the incumbent Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa will win the March 14, 2019 governorship election in a landslide.

Speaking with Journalists in his official residence, Asaba, Owhefere; who is currently representing the people of Isoko North constituency in the state Assembly, said the governor has labored so hard to change the fortune of the state as such deserved another term to continue and finish the good works he has started.

“As you may know, our campaigns formally begins tomorrow. Within the next 30 days, we will be going round the state to preach the message of hope for our people. The Governor who is the leader of the Party in the State will be personally leading the campaign. I know that wherever we visit, he will be proud to point at projects he has successfully executed. This will not only give the people a sense of belonging but also reassure them of a better bargain for them in the coming dispensation of Governor Okowa.

“As far as I know, the PDP remains the biggest and strongest party in the state. I am firmly of the believe that the party will sweep all the polls in a landslide. This is because apart from the sterling performance of the Governor, all of us who hold party positions in our respective areas have equally done well for our people. All these put together will certainly increase the prospects of the party in the coming elections”, Owhofere posited.

Owhefere however advised Deltans and non Deltans to conduct themselves well during the electioneering period.
