According to my search, GOOD GOVERNANCE means an indeterminate term used in the international development literature to describe how public institutions conduct public affairs and manage public resources. Governance is the process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented or not implemented.

I would like to highlight some characteristic of the term Good Governance so you can simply judge if Governor Okowa of Delta State has the quality to give such keynote address.

Participation. All men and women should have a voice in decision-making, either directly or through legitimate intermediate institutions that represent their interests.

Rule of law, Transparency, Responsiveness, Consensus orientation, Equity, Effectiveness and efficiency and Accountability.

With the above, I leave all praise singers of this failed government to argue with their conscience. Because of time factor, I will highlight only One of the above Characteristics, “Equity”.

EQUITY: There is no equity  in Delta state, why would Paris Club Funds be shared and Ethiope East Local Government Area wasn’t given and you expect the leadership to work effectively. If you can release the ones for other local government areas, why the delay in releasing Ethiope east funds? Workers are hungry and dying. In a similar development, you refused to commiserate with the good people of Abraka kingdom when Fulani terrorists invaded their land, killed men and rape their wives but you were quick enough to visit Osissa Community (An Igbo Community). Sir, Is YOUR  PROSPERITY FOR SOME DELTANS OR ALL DELTANS?

You have changed  all ministry heads to Igbo (Ika in particular) yet your media e-rats complain about Baba  95% against 5% appointments when you both are guilty of the same crime. Yours is even worst, to the extent that even Delta State University SUG election, you were so interested in installing an Ika boy, but as united and focus Urhobo youths , we fought against your mission and ensure it failed. Oh thanks to the students who ate your money and voted for their choice Candidate, who defeated your candidate with a wide margin .

An award is to encourage an individual to do more of selfless service to humanity , My question now is , Does it mean that University of Ibadan is happy that Okowa is dividing Deltans along ethnic line, or was the award given to milk the governor off Delta state resources.?

Governor Okowa has been in politics for so long why didn’t University of Ibadan offer him an award before now, it goes to show that award ceremonies have lost its primary value. I wish to advise my governor to practice what he preaches. He spoke excellently well during  the ceremony but those words he spoke aren’t visible in Delta state. If governor Okowa wants a second tenure which I know would be difficult, he should build harmony among ethnic groups, Grant independent to DESOPADEC, Avoid getting involve in UPU crisis and sacking of Urhobo men and women who you consider are no longer loyal because they cry for change, it is risky.

Remember I belong to No Political Party but am for all political party, before you criticize Buhari,  criticize Okowa first because they both have a lot in common. Good morning Deltans.
