In recognition of his unflinching support and contributions to the development and growth of Isoko nation of Delta state, the Ewheyae Isoko Association of Nigeria has on Saturday conferred the traditional title of ‘OKOBARO’, on the immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, (SSG), Ovouzourie Macaulay.
The award ceremony which took place at Dublina Hotel, Asaba, during the the Association’s 2018 annual joint consultative forum (JCF)/Dinner Night was attended by friends, well wishers and political associates of Macaulay.
It would be recalled that in June, 2015, in appreciation for his contribution towards the development of Isoko Nation and the traditional institution in the land, Isoko traditional rulers council conferred a chieftaincy title of ‘OKIRORO’ of Isoko nation on the immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, (SSG), Ovuozourie Macaulay.
It has also been observed that till date no political office holder from the Isoko extraction has been able to surpassed the contributions of the former SSG to the development and growth of Isoko ethnic nationality.
