With the information at our disposal if urgent steps are not taken, the privately owned Radio and Television stations, (Quest TV and Quest FM), located at Kilometer 6, Ughelli Patani Expressway, Ogor-Ughelli Delta state, operated by Honey Waves Communication Investment Ltd, will in no distance time folds up operations.
This is as a result of the randy nature of the company’s Chief Operating Officer/ Consultant, Mr. Sam Odinhiri fondly called “Sammy” whose stock in trade is office romance and blackmailing of females (OAPs) of the station for sex and refusal earns such presenter a sack letter.
HardReporters reliably gathered that the station which was commissioned early this year by Delta state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa, hiring and arbitrary firing of staff is synonymous with the station which is still staggering to find its feet on the soil of broadcasting in the state.
“Sammy has done more harm that good to Quest FM since the station started broadcasting. This is a man that will want to sleep with all the female presenters and once you refused to sleep with him, he fires you straight away. It was too obvious that Sammy was deeply involved in an office romance with Miss Divine Ighovie, one of the females OAP in Quest FM before she was shown the way out by the same Sammy.
“Not only her, three other OAPs in the station were blackmailed and sacked following their refusal to give in to randy Sammy. Sammy who is married with a male child, Egbe Odinhiri, aged 12, has philandering penchant for office romance hence his sexual exploit of female staff of Quest FM who are single and refusal earns such staff a sack letter. In real sense of it, Sammy doesn’t have the managerial skill to manage the establishment.
“Last year December, after Sammy’s sex escapades with Divine, he fired her as a result of a fight between Divine and a woman claimed to be Sammy’s wife and after that episode, the randy Sammy as he’s known commenced his sex escapades with a new female staff of the station, called Ruth Alabo and gave a speedy promotion to a top editorial position after sacking the male staff who was holding that position before now.” a management staff confided in our correspondent.
Meanwhile, HardReporters correspondent reliably learnt that the randy consultant who has continued in manipulating the CEO of the radio and television stations, Mr. Greg Edor, has fired all the OAPs, whose names were given as Itohan Ekpemiata aka Baroness, Goodlife Atevure aka Goodlife the Spectacular and Ifeoluwa Robert aka Ife and Disk Jockeys (DJ), whose names were given as DJ Pato E. and DJ Barrock in the station following the refusal of the females to oblige him sex.
In a copy of the sack letter, which the “randy” consultant manipulated Mr. Edor to sign, the consultant, it was revealed framed up the staff and accused them of sabotage and carting away a dongle from the live studio system, though, the affected staffers dismissed the allegation saying it was mere ploy by the randy consultant to justified his sack action.
According to the sacked letter obtained by HardReporters which read in parts says “In view of the unsatisfactory outcome of several interrogative chat sessions management held with you, bothering on the removal of the dongle from the live studio system, which is an established case of sabotage in your unit, we regret to inform you that your appointment is hereby terminated with immediate effect.”
Before now, our correspondent gathered that OAPs whose names were given as Omatesye Atsenuwa, Ben Lawson, Mudiaga Asagba and a host of others, had resigned from the station following what they termed as anti professional and inhuman act by the management, particularly the “randy” consultant.
Narrating her ordeal in the hands of the “randy consultant, one of the sacked female OAPs, Itohan Ekpemiata aka Baroness, said the ” randy” consultant was behind her sack, adding that “Sammy has always been harassing me sexually and my problem in the station started when I turned him down despite the fact that I reported him to the CEO of the company. This is pure injustice as he had tried to have his way with me severally and threatened that if he doesn’t have me, it’s either he leaves the company or I leave and he has successfully done that.” she said.
It would be recalled that few weeks ago, the “randy” consultant in connivance with the CEO, Mr. Edor, illegally hacked into the facebook accounts of two of the company’s staff and consequently arrested that the two staff defamed them in their personal inbox conversations that were printed out.
The two staff who were arrested and detained at the Ughelli Area Command despite the fact that one of the staff is a nursing mother were made to pay a N45, 000 for their bail.
As at the time of filing in this report, following sack of all the OAPs and DJs, the station that has been lacking in the areas of good quality programming, has resulted to playing of only musicals all through in a bid to feel the gab of the sacked OAPs.
Calls and messages put to Mr. Sam Odinhiri, the “randy” consultant and the CEO Mr. Greg Edor, were rebuffed.
