Barely two weeks and few days to the conduct of local government councils elections by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in Federal House of Representatives, Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, Chief of Staff to governor of Delta state, Prince Johnson Erijo, member representing Isoko South constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Ferguson Ajirioghene Onwo and other stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko South local government, have drummed support for the party and its chairmanship candidate for the July 13, 2024 council polls, Comrade Ovoke Friday Warri.
Also pledging their supports for the party and its chairmanship candidate during the party’s flag-off campaign for the July 13, 2024 council polls, held on Wednesday at the Isoko South local government headquarters, were the member representing Isoko South constituency 1 at the state house of Assembly, Bino Obowomano, the Director-General of the Warri campaign team, Duncan Afahokor, immediate past Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Askia Ogieh, former house of Assembly member and director legal services, board of internal revenue, Orezi Esievor and the Isoko South PDP chairman, Godspower Obaro.
Speaking at various time, they maintained that the massive crowd gathered at the rally was the testament to the fact that governor Sheriff Oborevwori choose the right candidate, in the person of Comrade Ovoke Friday Warri, who is well accepted by and the people who are eager to deliver him comes next month local government elections even as they declared Isoko South as a home of PDP and promised to deliver all the party’s candidates in the election.
While commending governor Oborevwori for accepting Comrade Warri as the party’s flag bearer for the polls, the party stakeholders described Warri’s candidature as a right one and well accepted by party faithful and the good people of Isoko South.
The stakeholders also appreciated the governor for entrenching enduring peace and good governance in Delta State, as well as fulfilling his campaign promises to Deltans and working towards ensuring the reality of his MORE AGENDA since inception of his administration.
Also speaking, the Isoko South local government PDP chairmanship candidate, Comrade Ovoke Friday Warri, thanked and commended the people of Isoko South, party faithful and leaders for the massive support and promised not to fail in delivering of dividends of democracy to the people.
On his part, the PDP State chairman, Kingsley Esiso, on behalf of the party executives expressed gratitude to the party faithful for coming out en-masse at the event and welcomed decampees from Labour Party and other parties who returned to the party, charging them and party faithful to remain committed to the progress of the party.
While presenting the party’s flags to the Isoko South chairmanship candidates of the PDP, comrade Warri, the state party chairman, Esiso charged all party faithful to ensure that all PDP candidates across the local government emerge victorious in the July 13, 2024 council elections.
