Veteran music duo, Mad Melon and Mountain Black popularly known as ‘Danfo Drivers’ have vowed to beat up a fellow younger musical, Tekno for what they called sampling of their 2008 song, ‘Kpolongo’ without their consent.
The duo while reacting to Tekno’s latest song ‘Jogodo’ where he sampled their 2008 song ‘Kpolongo’, noted that Tekno sampled their material without their consent or even reaching out to them and they are quite angry.
In an interview with Wazobia TV in Lagos, the veteran musicians disclosed that their purpose of coming to Lagos was to hunt for Tekno and collect the money/royalties been owed them for sampling their song without permission.
As at the time of filing in this report, Tekno and his management have not responded to the claims.
